About Me
Hello!
My name is Kelli and I recently married my best friend and favorite human on the planet, Brandon. We're both from Vancouver, WA and he loves travelling as much as I do...in fact, we got engaged in Iceland!
I lived in China for a year and a half where I taught at Jiangnan University, and since coming back to the States I've found a great career where I'm able to combine my love of culture and travel. I work full time with international students as a program and event coordinator and get to facilitate events in major cities in the US like NYC, LA, DC, and Boston. Currently, we live in Utah and I am a huge fan of our national parks and ALL things outdoors--I am an avid rock climber and hiker and love canyoneering.
I also love performing and am a trained musician, dancer, actress, and improv comedian.
I've been on Couchsurfing for a few years now but have never had success yet with it. Everyone I've either tried to stay with or to host hasn't worked out yet. I'd love for that to change!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Traveling is one of my favorite things to do! I have a goal to get to 30 countries by the time I'm 30...and I'm only about halfway there. Until I can have a job where I'm making passive income like crazy, I'm all for traveling as inexpensively as possible. I've also discovered that the best way to see a city is to get help from the locals! I don't like feeling like a tourist.

Music, Movies, and Books
The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is my all-time favorite movie. (My husband and I got engaged next to Skogafoss Waterfall in Iceland, which makes an appearance in the movie!)
I love folk-style acoustic music. Some of my favorite artists are Ingrid Michaelson, Regina Spektor, and The National Parks.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Spent a night with a villager's family in the Rice Terraces in Guilin, China
