About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to meet as many new people, make new connections, expand my horizons and the horizons of others. I want to travel as much as I possibly can as a poor single gal who loves adventure and show anyone willing and interested the amazing city of Detroit!

ABOUT ME

I am very eclectic and unique. I absolutely love to explore and have as many new experiences as I possibly can. I live and breathe music and art. I love the outdoors as well as any kind of cultural experience I can get indoors. I have a wicked sense of humor and am a huge nerd/goofball. I am patient, easygoing, open minded and kind. I cook amazing fajitas, Pad Thai, fish tacos, dumplings and falafel. Basically I just love to cook.

I can dance and sing without any music or situation that calls for it. I am incredibly expressive so my hands move more than my mouth when I tell stories. I have a huge soft side for helping all people--especially children. I have a real passion for things from the past and other cultures.

If the Rust Belt Market, Drag Queen Bingo, Heidelberg Project, Hamtramck Disneyland, roller derby or Underground art/live music sounds at all appealing to you: I can guarantee you a FAN-fucking-TASTIC time!!

PHILOSOPHY

I don't want to miss anything. Even the small things like a flower hidden in an alleyway, a street performer, or a hole-in-the wall bar or cafe.

I want to meet as many people as I can. I want to form a connection with these people and share personal experiences, and form new ones.

I cast no judgment, have no bias, I adore traveling and exploring and have learned firsthand that it can be inaccessible due to costs and other factors and I want to help others in their journey with the hopes that others will help me in mine.

I am here to live life, drink it in, go anywhere and everywhere and do anything and everything that I can. And share these things with as many individuals as possible--constantly evolving and growing with each new experience.

Interests

I love connecting with people from other backgrounds, cultures and areas. I spend a lot of my time going to local events, reading, doing yoga, henna, cooking and going out and exploring as much as possibly of this wonderful city we call Detroit.

Simple things that grab my attention are tattoos, anything handmade, people speaking another language, anything spontaneous, underground or free (hahaha).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Getting to attend a traditional Coptic Christian Egyptian wedding.

Living in Hamtramck where the entire population is almost entirely composed of people from Eastern Europe or Bangladesh. Getting to know the locals and learning about them. Going anywhere in the neighborhood and being the only native English speaker.

Sitting on top of a mountain after a serene hike in the wilderness.

Standing in a sea of thousands of people watching live music at Coachella dancing my ass off and singing at the top of my lungs.

Attending a concert for a Deaf rap artist in an abandoned building in Downtown Detroit and signing with my friends and meeting new people. Then seeing myself on t.v. in the crowd in the documentary footage months later.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know Sign Language, I used to teach culinary classes, I love yoga, I know lots of different multicultural areas around Detroit as well as local artists and artist venues and volunteer in a lot of different community organizations.

I want to learn bellydancing!!!
