Hi! I'm new to couch surfing and only discovered it recently so you could probably say I've been "living under a rock" for the past few years! A little bit about me - well I'm a very easy going and positive person who likes to experience new things and meet people from all over the world. I live in a city called Ballarat which has four very distinct seasons, all very beautiful but I must say that winter is not my favourite! I really love the great outdoors so if you enjoy sight seeing and hiking out in nature then you have found the perfect host/couchsurfer. I also enjoy rowing and I coach school aged rowers on our beautiful Lake Wendouree. I believe life is a gift so we should enjoy it to the fullest.

It depends what I feel like at the time but I really like reading uplifting stories that inspire me to be a better person or historical events that help me understand the world a bit more.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

I'm part of a group called Trek 4 Education Kokoda. We fundraise and deliver educational supplies and infrastructure to remote schools along the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea. Last year we delivered and assembled desks and chairs (as well as wall clocks, bins, books, pens, pencils) to the Kagi Elementary School by helicopter. We also walked the entire track delivering supplies to other school on the way through. In 2017 we delivered solar panels to the same school and in September 2018 we will be decking out another school with furniture. To see the children and teacher sitting at desks and chairs for the first time is a memory I'll never forget.
