Hey! I'm Kelly and I am from the beautiful Great Lake state of Michigan. I've grown up with a love for camping, hiking, and canoeing which has led me to the wonderful world of traveling. I am currently in med school so I try to take a mental break from my studies any chance I have by traveling! As far as interests go, I love skiing, music (trying to get better at guitar), reading, and cooking. I like to think I am very open-minded, considerate, and easy going :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

After college I spent the year volunteering and traveling alone and have met so many wonderful people through out the experience. I did my first workaway experience with a family in Poland and it was such a great way to exchange culture and meet great people. Now I have finally experienced the wonderful world of couch surfing :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I really do enjoy most music, but as far as favorite genres go: folk, indie, acoustic, classic rock, and the occasional classical music when I am studying. I am a HUGE book worm. I love a good novel and science book, but lately have been interested in war, history, and geopolitic reads.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I volunteered at a nursery school in Tanzania and while there I summited Mount Kilimanjaro to the roof of Africa!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love any chance to meet new people and see what their daily life and home environment is like. In exchange for this opportunity I am always willing to help out with the host in anything they might need done! Otherwise I can offer a good time and stories to share :) I'm always down for an adventure whether it is hiking or exploring. I also love singing and playing the ukelele, so I am always down for a good jam session.
