Hello! I'm a twenty-something traveler, designer, and ice cream fanatic. I'm originally from the East Coast in the U.S., but am also half Canadian.

I am currently living and working remotely in Puerto Rico for three months. :)

A bit more about me:
After university I worked in Boston for 3 years at an education nonprofit, but left to go on my first round-the-world adventure. My goal was to widen my world view; learn from and about others; learn from and about myself; experience new cultures through art, food, music, history, and conversations; and hopefully make a small positive impact on whatever corner of the world I was calling home.

I now work as a UX designer for a medical company, and travel every chance I get.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am passionate about education, and learning is what motivates and inspires me to travel--learning about a new place, new people, different ways of life, etc. I think that the best way to learn and understand others is to have conversations and get a sense for where and how others live (rather than traveling to a hotel and only experiencing a place through a tourist's lens). Couchsurfing makes the most sense to me as a way to meet new people, form connections, and mutually seek understanding of others.

Intereses

Traveling: running, meeting new people, exploring new places, trying new food. I'm very passionate about service and volunteering. I also love photography, art, drawing, staying active, and making and eating ice cream!

Music - My favorite genre would have to be the music I grew up with: 90's alternative rock (Blink 182, Taking Back Sunday, Third Eye Blind, etc.), but I enjoy almost all music! A few more of my favorites include The Beatles, The Who, Queen, Vince Garauldi, Dave Matthews.
Movies - Singin' in the Rain, The Shawshank Redemption, and Mary Poppins
Book - The Hobbit, by JRR Tolkien
