I'm a Harry Potter nut; let's just get that out of the way right now. I also love Zora Neale Hurston and Stephen King. biographies and memoirs, and young adult lit.

My current favorite music is pop punk like like Real Friends, The Wonder Years, and The Front Bottoms; longtime loves are The Ramones, Blink-182, The Beastie Boys, Fall Out Boy, ELO, The Cure, and pretty much anything you'd hear on an oldies station before oldies became music from the '80s.

Okay, movies: Joss Whedon, Joss Whedon, Joss Whedon (this covers TV, too); pretty much anything Quentin Tarantino; Robert Rodriguez, Kevin Smith; almost everything Drew Barrymore is in; Tim Burton; sports movies like The Replacements, A League of Their Own, and Remember the Titans; and just about anything everybody says was an awful movie.
