I'm Kelly, I'm 25 years old and live in Christchurch, New Zealand where I have grown up and lived all my life. I love travelling and am about to depart on my first big adventure to meet family in Holland (my Mum's side of the family is Dutch) and then do some exploring around Europe.

I have trained as a mental health support worker and at the moment have very cool work helping run mental health promotion events and forums which I love. In my spare time, I like spending time with friends and family, walking in the hills, swimming, and being involved in our community.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To host and hopefully stay with others!

I've just joined as I'm heading to Europe in a couple of weeks, and am keen to check out the possibility of staying with couch surfing hosts.

My partner and I have also recently bought a house and we've turned one room into a guest room and have been having people live with us when they need a place to stay. We love meeting people from different walks of life and would love to host people from the couch-surf community too.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love cooking and am happy to help prepare food with/for those I'm staying with. I am a fluent Eglish speaker with lots of patience so am happy to chat with hosts who aren't fluent but hoping to practise their conversational English. I also speak basic conversational Reo Maori, for anyone wanting to learn New Zealand's indigenous language. I live in Christchurch, New Zealand - a lovely city in the South Island of New Zealand close to the sea, hills and southern alps and would love to have you stay if you ever travel over here, or if you have friends or family travelling in NZ, put them in touch and we will be happy to have them stay in our spare room.
