I am an ever evolving creature. I am in constant awe. I try to find the best in everyone & everything..emphasis on "try". Creative and contagiously happy, I have boundless energy and an appetite for learning about new things and meeting new people. I am always ready for the latest and the greatest in friends, relationships, experiences, and ocean jumping....or so says the Meyers-Briggs Personality trait indicator.
I have been through hell & back but somehow emerged with a smile on my face & lots of love in my heart. I am constantly trying to improve myself (for myself). I consider myself to be a writer, photographer, part time voluptuous pin-up girl, Advice- columnist, environmentalist, farmer & world class chef but I make a living working in an office moving piles of paper around my desk. I love being outdoors. The ocean & sunsets are my happy place.

I love to travel & hope to start exploring the globe in earnest as soon as my son sets off for college in August. I am a people person and have always had people surf on my couch ... I honestly thought my name & address was in some Rainbow Family publication as there was always some hippie showing up on my doorstep looking for a place to sleep...no joke. -and it still happens.

Hmmmm.. love to read & been reading a lot of Christopher Moore lately. Love Doug Adams, Dr. Seuss (no, really), Shakespeare, Tolkien, Hunter Thompson, Mark Twain, Christopher Hitchens, Vonnegut, Ken Kesey, Jack Keroauc. My music tastes spam the gamut..I love old school punk rock (Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Black Flag sans Rollins) , funk (Parliament), Gospel (Mavis Staples), good old Rock & Roll (Grateful Dead, Hot Tuna), new Alternative , old alternative, techno, Soul, Blues, R&B, Oldies, Screamo, Emo.. old school heavy Metal & old School country. I travel far & wide for a good show or festival... Love the Flaming Lips, the Decemberists, Old Crow Medicine Show, Vampire Weekend, LCD Soundsystem, My Morning Jacket, Rancid, Operation Ivy, Arcade Fire, Franz Ferdinand, Regina Spector, OK GO!, The Avett Bothers, Billy Bragg, Hot Chip & Gogol Bordello. I don't care for "new" country- seems like is a platform for bud-light swillin', NASCAR watching conservative Republicans..not my cup of tea. Oh yeah.. light Jazz IE Kenny G...eww really horrible stuff, not even fit to be in elevators if you ask me.
I have a deep affection for live theater & opera. If your idea of a perfect night out is at the Met in NYC, we have a lot to chat about.
I also listen to an ungodly amount of NPR (love Prairie Home Companion!).
I don't watch much TV (who has the time?), but sometimes I get to watch Walking Dead. I like old TV shows I can watch on Netflix..Dr. Who, Wonderfalls, Pushing Daises.
Movies? Classics like Casablanca, the original Willy Wonka. Love Tarantino, Terry Gilliam & Michelle Gondry movies, so basically anything a little off-kilter, dark comedy or mind bending. Harold & Maude is my all time favorite.
I love all types of food. I cook quite a bit & am always trying my hand at something new. Love Thai, Indian, Ethiopian, Afghan, Italian..& I am a freaking grill master. I have been vegetarian & vegan before so if meat isn't your thing..that is fine by me

I have been arrested a few times for civil disobedience..I like to think I played a tiny role in getting a local nuclear reactor shut down. I traveled all around the US following the Grateful Dead when I was younger..I make a mean grilled cheese.
