Hi there,
I'm Kelly, a 26 year old Dutchie currently travelling solo in Australia. I left my hometown Amsterdam in October and discovered the beautiful country of New Zealand in two months. During my stay in NZ I developed a passion for hiking and being in the outdoors. In December I started my adventure in Oz and so far I've been to Melbourne and Sydney. Although these are two beautiful cities I prefer to be more surrounded by nature. My highlights so far are definitaly a 3 day roadtrip at the Great Ocean Road and the Grand Canyon track in the Blue Mountains. I'm very enthusiastic, always looking for new adventures and challenges, laugh a lot and would love to exchange knowledge and culture. Back home I used to work as a host and waitress in one of the biggest restaurants in Amsterdam. I'm a sports fanatic and enjoy watching and playing all kinds of sport (I would love to learn more about cricket!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been travelling for 3 months now, mostly staying at backpacker hostels, and I find it hard to meet the real locals. It feels like i'm not really experiencing the Ozzie life because i'm always surrounded by other travellers.. Couchsurfing seems a great way to get to know local people who can tell you a lot about the surrounding area. I would love to exchange culture and just random thoughts about anything!
