Hello there! I would describe myself as compulsively creative. Having gone to a small liberal arts school growing up, I love anything that feels like an artistic expression from painting/drawing, to singing, to acting which is my greatest passion. I currently live in Los Angeles California where I’m living the cliche and following my dream to become an actor.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend and I just stumbled upon couch surfing in the middle of a three week trip around Europe and love it! We’ve met some really fascinating and genuinely kind people and it has added so much to the experience! The people are what make a new city come alive and couch surfing seems to attract a great group of sharing and loving personalities.

Interests

I’m pretty much interested in anything that stimulates my mind and gets me thinking. I love painting/drawing and sewing/knitting. I also bind my own journals and I love to write. Anything that feels like a form of expression makes me feel happy and alive. Which is why I am most passionate about the theater and being on stage. Becoming another person feels like one of the best ways to check in with I how I feel and to push myself to grow and develop. I also ride a unicycle, juggle, play the violin, and bake a mean batch of chocolate chip cookies.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
Pretty much any 80’s rock and roll. Talkings Heads, REM, The Fixx. I also love the Black Keys and Lyndsey Stirling as well as Irish fiddle music (I play the violin).
Movies: I am pretty obsessed with movies so to choose even a handful is hard, but one movie I could watch literally anytime would have to be the Princes Bride.
Books: Oh boy! I’m a pretty avid reader... The Alchemist, Crime and Punishment, Harry Potter, The Winter’s Tale, His Dark Materials series... I could keep going but I’ll stop there.

I feel like everyone has something to share and I certainly love conversation. Some of my best experiences have been talking with complete strangers and through those conversations I almost always feel as though I’ve both shared and learned something.
