ABOUT ME

Kelly is an American who came to Belgium for 1 year (many years ago), and got herself stuck -in a good way- first by falling in love with this country and then falling in love with a Belgian.

Gudrun is a Belgian, who has traveled around the world, including living in New Zealand. She's sticking around Belgium these days because of a crazy American girl she knows...

The two of these young people would like to reinvigorate their interest in traveling and meeting new people, and CS is one of their steps toward this goal!

PHILOSOPHY

We just hope that by traveling around, meeting new people, learning new traditions and cultures, the world will become smaller and smaller

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are old pros at hosting people. Officially on CS, we've hosted 30+ people from 11+ countries, but Before CouchSurfing (BC?), our couch was always open to friends, friends of friends, and distant acquaintances. We love sharing our home and our world with travellers from far and wide.

We haven't done much surfing (!!!) yet... we're gearing up to try our hand at surfing, and hope we can be as courteous, respectful, fun, and amazing to our future hosts as ALL of our past surfers have been to us.

兴趣

Our interests are really varied. Yoga, meditation, partying, traveling, reading, seeing friends, canoeing, hiking, biking, movies, playing music, photography, cooking (K= everything but meat and dairy 'vegetarian', G= everything but cheese 'childhood cheese trauma').

We are mostly just interested in learning new things and sharing the things that we enjoy.

Kelly is into Yoga - "I'm no expert, but extremely happy to share what I know!"

She's also an engineer and wants to become a chemistry teacher one day - so if you want to know about why water expands when it freezes and breaks your bottle, how soap works, what makes stainless steel not rust - She contains a huge pile of nerdy sciency information that she tends to give away for free!

Gudrun is a chef in a hotel restaurant. She loves to explain how to cook. She is also a biking enthusiast, and is happy to give directions for cool bike rides. If you are lucky, she might even guide you herself :)

We both want to learn about whatever you can teach us! Be it a skill, a philosophy, a religion, your culture or your opinions about the world... It is pretty amazing how little we both know, considering our 29+ years as 'students' on this planet...
