I'm studying in France for the semester with my sister, Michelle, and we're trying to see as much of Europe as possible in between classes!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 22 year old American student living and studying in France for a semester with my sister. I love meeting new people, every year I sign a lease with random students and have made amazing friends that way.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life to enjoy it, every day is a new adveture that should be met with enthusiam. My friends, my family, the stangers I meet that become friends make life fun: the people that shape the experiences we have and the world we live in make life beautiful. I try really hard to be happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't really participated at all yet, just heard about it and just created a profile. Hopefully I'll soon be participating by surfing couches across Europe. And in June, after returning to the states, I'll participate by hosting travellers, I'm excited to show people from all over the world the midwest that I love :)

Where to start.. I love reading, learning about history, languages, and cultures, cooking, dancing, soaking up sun on the beach, listening to live music in bars and smalll concert venues, having new experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read. I enjoy reading new things but my favorite books are A prayer for Owen Meaning, The Poisonwood Bible, Animal Dreams, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn and The Time Travelers Wife. I am a movie lover, my favorites are Moulin Rouge, Requium for a Dream and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. Music is toughy because I love so many different artists! Red Hot Chili Peppers, Elliot Smith, Amy Winehouse, Iron and Wine, Dresden Dolls, The Killers and Audioslave.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experience abroad has been amazing so far, I've learned and seen so much. Living in a country other than my own has been so wonderful. I am lucky enough to live with a host family and can really experience how french families live. I've Portugal, Ireland, England and Holland which were all so fun and interesting, I'm really looking forward to experiencing other European countries and I think that couchsurfing will help me learn about the places I will be visiting.
