ABOUT ME

I always find questions like these hard to answer. But here is a jumble of impressions that may colour me in-between the lines: I love laughing hard and long with friends; taking walks that end at an ice cream parlor or favourite cafe; exploring art of all forms; cooking family favourites for or with friends; reading by windows; and finally drinking hot chocolate with extra whipped cream on cold, snowy afternoons.

Instead of listing my favourites, it is easier to tell you the most recent movies, books, and music I have loved. I just finished reading Waiting for the Barbarians (incredible!), tuned in to Loretta Lynn, and saw Network.

This summer I spent a week volunteering for an elephant sanctuary in Northern Thailand called Elephant Nature Park - the experience and the contribution to help these maltreated and majestic animals is not to be missed. If you are in North Thailand, you have got to check this place out!

Fact: if you were born knowing how to read, didn't sleep, eat or socialize and instead spent your entire life reading ceaselessly, you would have only read 4% of the collection in the New York City Library. With that grounding anecdote, I can say I love literature, love to share and discuss books, but cannot honestly claim to be an expert.
