Beyond the obvious admiration for exploration that unites many on this site, I love to listen to live music, walk/bike around, shop at local markets, cook/eat delicious food and engage in deep conversations. I grew up in a rural area and appreciate the outdoors, but also get a thrill in big cities where cultural experiences are vibrant!

It's important to me to get the local experience and make sincere connections with people in the places I'm visiting. I believe it's much more gratifying to get to know hidden gems than it is to see top-rated tourist sites.

兴趣

I'm a rather restless soul who's constantly interested in trying new things and seeing new sights, thus the appeal of travel! I used to own a few horses, but now look for opportunities to join others trail riding. I'm big into fitness - as a runner, weight-lifter, and yogi, I like to walk/bike places when possible. While I strive to be healthy, I admit I have a sweet tooth and like to indulge in the desserts and wines of a region when visiting.

First and foremost, I hope I get to learn from those I meet about their interests, daily lives, and areas of residency. As an educator, I geek out about better understanding different perspectives.

Professionally speaking, I have taught a wide range of media courses to adolescents through adults in formal and informal settings - I'm always eager to strategize and share skills in relation to curriculum development, video production, web design, remote workforce operations, and small business marketing.
