Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am going to start hosting in the next couple months after my schedule winds down at work. However, I can definitely meet-up and show people around DC when my schedule allows.

My favorite part about traveling is meeting people from around the world and I love that Couchsurfing allows me to do that from my own home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I recently had my first Couchsurfing experience when I tagged along with my housemate to Dewey Beach, DE. It was an excellent introduction to the Couchsurfing culture - the generosity of our host started with a tour of Dogfish Brewery and ended at a pool party in the middle of a cornfield.

Interests

-Live music: hoping to check out DC's famous GoGo scene sometime soon
-Dancing: I was an Irish Dancer for 11 years (the only time you will see me do that now is after a few drinks on St. Patrick's Day) but I have also dabbled in Salsa and African.
-Trying new cheeses, craft beers, red wines, and whiskey
-Road trips: my family drove pretty much everywhere around the United States when I was growing up, including down Route 66 from Chicago to California
-Football (Green Bay Packers fan)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

(Temporarily) conquered my fear of snakes and crocodiles and went white-water rafting down the Mbabane River in Swaziland.
