ABOUT ME

I am an elementary school teacher who loves cooking, eating, traveling, and being out on the water. My husband is a sailor, and I have been trying to learn the ropes. We haven't been able to host recently as we were living with family to save for a house, but we recently bought our own house and are excited to start hosting again.

I love the outdoors. Camping, hiking, and kayaking are my favorite things in the world to do. I also love curling up with some tea and a good book. Recently I got my first bicycle since I was a child and I've been enjoying bike commuting!

I'm down to try anything at least once. Things on my list to do: sky-diving, teaching English abroad, and a roadtrip across the United States (I have never been further east than Wyoming!)

FOOD! I love eating and have recently started to enjoy cooking. I would love to learn your recipes from around the world!

I also really love board games and we have quite the collection at our house. We often host game nights where we invite a ton of people over, cook a big dinner, and play games until late into the night.

I'm a total book worm. Favorite book of all time, Life of Pi by Yann Martel. Other favorites include Unbowed: A Memoir, anything by David Sedaris and Bill Bryson, and of course Harry Potter.

Movies: Harold and Maude, Little Miss Sunshine, Finding Nemo
