ABOUT ME

Well, where do I start? Bah! I hate doing these 'about me' things because I never feel like I can adequately describe myself - but I'll try. I guess generally I'd say that I'm a friendly and outgoing person. I make friends easily, and am always good for a laugh, even if it's at my own expense. I tend to try not to take things personally, and I like to surround myself with people who are the same way (I like people who can make fun of themselves). I have a bit of a sarcastic sense of humour once you get to know me, but I always try not to take it too far. I don't like making people feel bad, intentionally or unintentionally. I can be somewhat shy upon first impressions, especially if I'm in an unfarmilliar environment, but once I warm up it's hard to shut me up. I just love talking to people, and learning about their lives. I guess you could call me a little overly social, but is that always a bad thing?

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life one day at a time, as cliche as it is. Too much bad stuff happens to dwell on it for too long. You need to find the good in every situation, and try to focus on that, no matter how hard it is to find sometimes.

Also, I try to learn a lesson from everything. And I believe that even life has foreshadowing sometimes.

Interests

Well... I like working, strangely enough. Or, more accurately, I like socializing with my co-workers and customers while at work, buuut whatever. I like the outdoors, walking and hiking and the like. Travelling is a lot of fun and something I obviously hope to do more of. I like meeting new and interesting people. Going to parties. Lazer tag (hahah!). Walking around supermarkets for hours (seriously, a lot more fun and a little less weird than it sounds). Rugby (I played in high school). Photography. Reading (HUGE bookworm). Drawing and singing (even though I'm absolutely horrible at both). Going on roadtrips. Going for coffee. Long conversations. I don't know... meet me and find out!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: I'm really into movies that will either make me laugh or cry. Or both! Haha. 80's films are also a huge favorite. And I'm a sucker for supid corny comedies. Some good examples are: Atonement. Talledega Nights. The Wedding Singer. The Breakfast Club. Donnie Darko. Juno. Party Monster. 200 Cigarettes... etc.

Music: Everything! I'm really versatile with my music tastes. Right now I'm really into: Husky Rescue, Remy Zero, Tiga, Bell X1, The Faint, The Dresden Dolls, The Enemy, Final Fantasy, Great Lake Swimmers, Goldfrapp, The Mary Onettes, The Pierces, The National, Seawolf, and Yelle...

Also, I have a secret love of gangsta rap... Shameful, I know!

As for books, I just love books in general. Reading is, and has always been, one of my favorite passtimes. I will read almost anything, but it's always the title and the cover that get me interested at first. So when it comes to books, I do judge a book by its cover, but I haven't been wrong yet.
