About Me

ABOUT ME

A traveler by heart. As I travel, I am growing constantly, so it is hard to put into words who I am right now. I am a local where ever I go, with a very adaptive nature. I learn to appreciate the culture and customs in the places I live and travel to. I have a friendly nature and will ask you lots of questions, if you're willing to talk. I love to learn languages. I think they are so important in building your hosting community.

I like to try new things and form new hobbies. I learn by doing and am accustomed to falling and getting back up.

PHILOSOPHY

The Golden Rule. I treat others how I hope to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Back when I joined couch surfing I didn't use it very much. I think I was too young and unsure of myself to trust strangers on the internet (product of my upbringing when the internet was still new, ASL?) But as I have traveled more, it has become an increasingly useful tool. I started by attending a few events in Istanbul, getting to know other locals and travelers. I have used it to stay on 2 couches. Unfortunately, I have never had my own couch to offer. Now, more and more often, I use it to meet people visiting or living in the places I go. I really like the Hang out function on the app and have met some cool people there.

Interests

I like to dance, Play frisbee, read, go for walks/hikes, travel, educate myself about different cultures, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in Istanbul for a year! There was so much that I gained through that experience. It taught me to overcome fear in new situations. This has given me the freedom to travel further and longer. Take risks and be able to handle the consequences, good and bad.

Teach, Learn, Share

Since I love learning languages, I can share my knowledge on how or the details of the languages I've studied.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I also love cooking, so I would be happy to cook a meal to share with my host. There we can share experiences!

Countries I’ve Visited
