About Me

Hi, I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area of California. I am currently living in Düsseldorf, Germany working at a vegan restaurant. Prior to moving to Germany I was working for a Japanese IT company in the Silicon Valley for 4 years. I have my Bachelors of Science in Health Science from San Jose State University in San Jose, California. I quit my stable job to and sold everything to pursue what I've always wanted to do, travel, experience, and meet new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I saved up as much as I could, sold everything to my name, and quit my stable job so I can begin traveling and to be with my girlfriend in Germany who I met in Thailand while traveling Southeast Asia. I am a simple man and don't need much, just a place to sleep, even if its just on the ground with a sleeping bag. Honestly just trying to be as frugal as I can be to experience as much as possible.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy all types of music but just to list a few of the bands I enjoy: DIIV, Beach Fossils, WU LYF, The Beatles, Animal Collective, Kikagaku Moyo, Ryo Fukui, etc.

Just to name a few movies I enjoyed: Fantastic Planet, Darjeeling Limited (honestly all Wes Anderson movies), Boondock Saints, The Holy Mountain and much more

Books: The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Played Euphonium/Baritone in my high school marching band/orchestra which was 9 year defending champions of the Western Band Association (WBA) at the time since its creation in 2000. Due to our band's excellent talents we have been invited to perform in places such as Carnegie Hall in New York, opening of the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, and Edinburgh Parade in Scotland with renowned Orchestras. Out of all the places we have been invited to play, the most outstanding one was the 2008 Beijing Olympics. We were one of the few schools, including universities, from the United States, Australia, Japan, and Guam who were invited to preform with the Chinese as the 2008 Beijing Olympic Orchestra. We performed in such places as Tiananmen Square, where we became the first non-Chinese to be allowed to perform ever, and the Great wall of China as well as other locations where we were televised nationally.
