I love the mountains, whether it is a day hike through the trees, alpine meadows, lakes, & peaks, or a climb up a glaciated mountain. When I'm not outdoors enjoying nature you'll find me reading or exploring new parts of the world.

I view life as a series of opportunities and I enjoy seeing where they lead me, whether it be to exotic lands, adventures, or an interesting conversation.

Interests

I love the outdoors. Whether it is climbing a mountain in the Andes or trekking through the Amazon or Patagonia, nature has always had a draw for me. I greatly enjoy having conversations with people to gain perspective and understanding from other points of view and backgrounds. I also enjoy cooking and introducing people to Americana whether it is banana bread, chocolate chip cookies, or pulled BBQ chicken sandwiches.

I'm an avid reader, mostly history, all non-fiction but my interests cross many lines from economics to astrophysics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The natural beauty of Antarctica is one of the most astounding places I have ever had the chance to visit.

Utah in the US has the greatest collection of national parks of anywhere I've been. Brice, Zion, Grand-Staircase, Capital Reef, Arches, Canyonlands, Bridges National Parks have varied and spectacular terrain to amaze anyone.

Trekking in the Bolivian Amazon, swimming with pink river dolphins in crocodile infested waters, fishing for piranha and catching an eel.
