I'm a world traveler by heart. Since 2008 I've been going back and back and back to Peru, especially after I became great friends with a famous inca archaeologist (not that any of them are truly famous, really). We've been organizing learning vacations -- always to the Sacred Valley and always winding up on top of Machu Picchu. Next year we're considering a bona fide expedition in the north to uncover some Chachapoyas ruins. So while I keep my day job which keeps everything humming along, my heart is with my backpack!
As for my local life, I've lived in NYC for the last 18 years and am considering leaving for where there's nature. A dream? Yes. Possible? Definitely. If I'm able to open up my sofa, just know it'll be a squeeze - 380 sq. feet of east village living. Wish I had more!
I'm extremely young at heart. I get the jaw dropping response, "you're 46?????" whenever I mention my age. I've got heart and can hang with any and all ages without even the slightest discomfort so please don't be dissuaded or deterred if you're younger or older. Always friendly, always positive energy :)
