I love meeting knew people and far and away, my favourite way of learning new things is by talking to the people that know them. Who better to know the places I want to experience than those who currently populate it? And a site that has the ability to connect me with just such individuals? Beauty.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Books: I love to read (fiction, mostly). Especially while laying in the sun. I am always looking for suggestions. The best books are those that make you laugh and cry. I loved 'Water for Elephants', ' The Time Traveller's Wife' and 'The Hunger Games' ( all before they were movies) but I have to say, 'The Secret Garden' will always be my favourite ( though this time I saw the movie first ;) ).

Movies: I rarely find a movie I really don't like. Some of my favourites include: The Princess Bride, Snatch, Blast From the Past, The Usual Suspects, About Time, and ( recent addition) Starbuck.

Music: I have always loved music. Growing up, it was always playing, so there is a lot out of the 60s and 70s that I will always love. This includes: Buddy Holly, Elvis Costello, The Beatles, The Boomtown Rats, The Clash. Moving more modern: The Violent Femmes, Weezer, Tegan and Sarah, The New Pornographers, Amanda Palmer. Recently, I have been getting more into folk and blues. I have been discovering Etta James and Nina Simone, but my education is not nearly done. If you have some suggestions, send them my way!

Lastly, I follow a fair amount of tv shows. It's kind of a bonding activity for my siblings and me. This section would not be complete without mentioning my love for Doctor Who, Parks and Rec, Veronica Mars, and Sherlock.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

From what I can see, here is where most people put their epic travel stories. I don't have any of those yet. So instead I am going to get hopelessly sappy on you all. Sorry in advance if it is cheesy.

I volunteer at a children's hospital in Vancouver. It is mostly my job to play with the kids while they are in the hospital. Each time I go, I witness amazing things. I've built super Heroes out of blocks with young heart surgery patients and been epically school by 10 year olds on bed rest. I love it and hope one day to work in children's hospitals.
