About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To keep my eyes open.

ABOUT ME

I recently graduated high school and I'm looking forward to starting college in the fall at the University of Houston studying playwriting.

I've always loved traveling, but unfortunately haven't been able to do much of it yet. Still, I spend most of my free time planning trips and obsessing over interesting cities or cultures (The Travel Channel is almost always on). I can't wait to discover the world for myself.

As far as my personality goes, I try to be as open minded as possible. I pride myself on being generally independant and adventurous. I am (hopefully) creative and free spirited, if a little more than slightly disorganized.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have not had the chance to surf or host yet, but am looking forward to my first experience.

Interests

I'm interested in theatre, writing, reading, FOOD, meeting fascinating people, sleeping, having legs, Dr. Who, dancing, laughing, general silliness, Impossible things (at least six before breakfast), personal hygiene (I'm clean), singing (especially in the rain), and blowing bubbles.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in movies is pretty eclectic; I'll watch just about anything except horror, but right now my favorites are: On the Waterfront, Memento, Brick, Serenity, An Education, Up, Beauty and the Beast and many others that I'm probably forgetting.

As far as books go I'm currently obsessed with Kurt Vonnegut, but my other favorites include: The Magus, 1984, A Clockwork Orange, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, and The Great Gatsby. Lately I've been reading a lot more plays than novels so I'll go ahead and list some of those here too: Gruesome Playground Injuries, Up, Melancholy Play, Othello, Mauritius, In the Shape of Things, and The Clean House.
