I am a senior biomedical engineering student who is preparing to apply for a doctorate in physical therapy program. For Spring of 2016, I am studying abroad in Swansea, Wales, and traveling around Europe when I can. I plan to stay for the summer with my boyfriend, Ben, and backpack around as much of Europe as we can!

I will return to Texas in September 2016 and would love to host guests in my home town of College Station whenever possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I lived in Ecuador for a year following high school and fell in love with actually KNOWING and becoming part of a culture, rather than just seeing the main tourist attractions and hanging out with other tourists. I think spending time with local people, hearing why they love their culture, listening to their advice, and experiencing their way of life, is the only way of capturing some of that culture while traveling around short-term. I love finding out the many ways people are different yet the same. I don't need much for physical comforts. I can speak for my boyfriend, Ben, who will often be traveling with me, and say the same.

I love, love, love hosting people and showing them around the great state of Texas (or at the very least pointing them in the right direction). I love my culture and people and hope to give people a taste of that. I also am a foodie and can always give people good and detailed recommendations for local food.

I participated in an international sailboat race through the Galapagos islands with the family of the President of Ecuador.

We would love for our host to join us on any touring that we may do if he or she wishes to do so, though we by no means expect it. If possible, we would love to share a tea, a drink, or a meal with our host at some point.
