About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Push my boundaries! Learn, see and experience adventure while figuring out how to do my part for our beautiful world!

ABOUT ME

Enthusiastic, easy-going, passionate, optimistic, open-minded. I love exploring new situations, meeting new people and pushing the boundaries of my comfort zone. I am equally happy out all night partying or exploring the town, camping in the middle of a forest, or discussing life until dawn over cups of tea. I think that a person's 20's sets the stage for the rest of their life, and so I hope to spend the next decade seeing as much as I can, learning from as many people as I can, and living as much as I can!

PHILOSOPHY

I think that, be it environmentally or socially, we are all an important cog in a huge machine that needs everyone's cooperation to continue to run smoothly and sustainably. Love, harmony and conscientiousness are the keys to a healthy, happy and sustainable way of life for everyone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to see the world and meet as many different people as possible- be it through couchsurfing or just meeting up to explore! I can't wait to be in a living situation in which I can host as well and show everyone why Montreal is so awesome!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far I've couchsurfed a little in Europe and it taught me so much about the local cultures! I've also met a few couchsurfers close to home, although I'm unfortunately not in a position to host right now.

Interests

I am studying environmental economics, and am truly passionate about making our society more sustainable and one with nature. I also play violin and piano, am acting in a play, have played softball for ten years, and love to spend time at my family's cottage in the woods. And, of course, I love to travel!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love The Big Lebowski, Arrested Development and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (Though Aladdin and Mulan will always be in my top ten!). While I don't feel like I ever have time to read as much as I would like to, Huckleberry Finn, The Catcher in the Rye and the Harry Potter series will always be my favorite books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Oh my goodness I could never pick just one!

Hiking and camel riding in Israel, playing violin in an orchestra in old churches across Europe, having a poisonous snake loose in the dining room in the Amazon rainforest, or even just canoe camping in my own gorgeous province of Quebec.... I could hardly pick just one of the amazing experiences I've been lucky enough to have! I can't wait to add more to the list!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am passionate about sustainability and would love to discuss and hear others' ideas for living well. I can also play violin and piano and am always up to jam or teach someone a song! :) Finally, I can offer positivity and make an easy-going buddy for any and all kinds of adventure.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am easy-going and pretty much always smiling. Be it conversations over cups of tea, a late night party, a hike, or whatever else, I am open to it all! I can also cook you some yummy vegetarian/vegan recipes, show you some yoga poses, or teach you a song on the piano! Let's hang out :)
