ABOUT ME

I just graduated from Oregon State University in Chemical Engineering and have accepted a real job as an engineer in Richland, WA. I liked school and always like learning new things, but am definitely excited to be done and to start the next phase of life - whatever that may be... I've lived in the northwest most of my life, but am pretty unfamiliar with the tri-cities area so I'm eager to explore and meet new people!

I'm generally quiet, especially at first, but plenty friendly and talkative given the chance. Expect a little sarcasm and sporadic creativity. I like making people laugh, aim to be open-minded and am generally up for anything.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted 1 couch surfer and been hosted a couple times - all while in Spain, where I studied abroad.

I love home in the northwest, but have the incurable travel bug and want to see the world and meet its people.

I enjoy being outside and active and seeing beautiful places: hiking, cycling, swimming, skiing, etc. I love sharing food and beer/wine with friends. I like photography - digital and film - and music - playing (amateurly) and listening.

I'm no gourmet, but I love food and cooking. Let me return your hospitality with my family crepe recipe or make you something tasty in my own kitchen. I like just about everything (especially fruit/veggies, spicy food and baking).

There are many hobbies I've been needing and time (and money) to pursue. I'd love to learn more about kayaking, rock climbing, gardening, sewing, guitar, etc. I have aspirations to do a triathlon and/or marathon in the near future.
