I live off-grid in upper Michigan and spend most of my time somewhere between enjoying the peacefulness of life in the woods and the excitement & sometimes chaos of life on the road. I am currently travelling in the southern US with my partner (Matt Rouse) now that the harsh winter has set in and our little wood stove can't keep up.
We both love to travel to see new sights, learn new things, and meet interesting people. Our usual travel plans involve spending a lot of time in national forests, so big cities can be a little daunting. We plan on checking out New Orleans and we'd love to make some new friends there.
I have a dog, she's a 5 year old mutt, very sweet and mellow. Our van is set up for sleeping so we don't necessarily need a couch, just a safe place to park.

I'm on couch surfing because I think it is a great way to meet cool people and experience places authentically.
