About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am travelling around Canada and staying in Banff right now. Life here is awesome. I am working over night, go snowboarding under day and drinking at the weekends. Life can be so easy :-)

ABOUT ME

Hey I am Benjamin. I am a 25 old guy from the south west in Germany. I did last year my High School graduation on the second education way and didn´t know what I wanna study so i decided to go out in the world and here I am. In Germany I play soccer for my hometown team Fv Steinmauern and work as a volunteer in a youth group. I like to read books, listen music and go out with friends. Here in Canada i didn´t have a choice and so I started reading books in english and i was surprised but it works. I started to play the guitar but after 5 years I realized that I don´t have any talent so I let it be and now I just listen to music and go to concerts. I prefer rockmusic, a little bit of dubstep and german hip hop. Maybe is that the reason that I like to go out just in bars or clubs which plays rock music and no fancy techno club. Ya I like to go out and partying (of course I am german I have to like drinking beer) with a bunch of people and I found out that I am in the right town with Banff.
I like to have a fun in life so I like to make jokes and smiling as much as possible and I like this on others people. How you can see here is my english not the best but I don´t care I try my best and if I do a big mistake I can also laugh about myself.
I am really not a person who believes in god or anything but I don´t care when people do it. Everybody should do what makes him happy. It´s the same with drinking alcohol or listen to rockmusic. I do but I would never say to someone he´s an asshole just he doesn´t drink with me. In my opinion is this open minded. You should do what makes you happy and respect what other people do, believe and like and have fun with them.
Oh man normally I won´t go back to Germany but I´ll 26 years old in September and I think I should study something but I still don´t know what. Maybe social work, maybe geology....I really don´t know. It´s sad that I am 25 and don´t know what I want for myself in my life. The life here is awesome. Travelling, meet new guys, work here and there, go out with people from all over the world, go snowboarding and hiking and see other parts of the world and learn a lot of cultures and people from other countries. I´ll see what happen in future.

PHILOSOPHY

Mmh thats a interesting question. I believe in the destiny. So I think the fate takes its course and it happens nothing without a reason.
Live like you wish that other people should be to you. Accept the interests of other people, their religions and philosophies.
Try do to the best in each situation, take it with humour and never give up.
Be honest to yourself and to all the people in your life.
I am not proud of my country. That´s not a reason from the history but I just don´t know why should I be proud of a country. But it´s the same like the religion. I don´t believe in it but if you want be proud of your country.
I hate racism and I don´t have any sympathy for it.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I got a member of CS when I came here to Canada ´cause i didn´t hear of them before. I just try to surf but for sure if I come back to Germany I´ll try to host other people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just have one CS experience in Toronto. I think my profile wasn´t the best ´cause I didn´t know how important it is to fill out your profile really well. The experience what I had with Stev´n was great. I came to his place and he said to me That I have to go to the Home Store to make an second key for his appartment. I thought this is a joke but he was serously. I haven´t never seen this before. Great. Since this day I understand how important it is to show people as much as you can in your profile ´cause you have to trust each other.
I really hope that I can write here a lot of more after my trip. Maybe you can help me :-)

Interests

I am interested in sports like jogging, basketball, soccer and snowboarding. I am interested to learn about other cultures and the people who lives there. I am interested in fun and to go out in pubs for example. And I also interested in my girlfriend

One Amazing Thing I've Done

I was not often outside of europe so I did not see any amazing places on earth. I was in London but the Buckingham Palace was not so interested like the pubs :-)
One not so amazing experience was last year on the tv tower in Barcelona. It looks not really high but on the top I realised that my acrophobia is stronger than I thought. That was one of the scariest 10 min in my life.

An amazing moment in my life to hold my little sister in my arms the first time.

Mmh I am 25 so I have not the biggest life experience and I haven´t travelled so much but if I can teach you in something I will. Just ask me
