About Me

Hi, I am Keno and I am 18 years old.
I come from Cologne, Germany where I grew up. I have just graduated from high school and am now on the road for some time.
My original plan was to explore the west coast, but I haven't booked anything yet so my plans might change on the way.
Next year I would love to start studying economics in St. Gallen in Switzerland or in Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now that I'm traveling alone for a long time, I want to meet a lot of people.
And from what I've heard and read Couchsurfing seemed like the best place to do it.
I would love to meet up with some locals, wherever im staying to get to know the place better.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I am generally open to all music genres and like to listen to most things. I like Faber, a Swiss musician, but I enjoy Queen, the Beatles or new music just as much.

Films: I especially like to watch historical movies, but I also have a weakness for sitcoms. My favorite movies I can think of right now are: Babylon, Wolf of Wallstreet, the Great Gatsby, The Imitation Game, the series Sherlock, the Gentlemen, Dunkirk and Inglorious Bastards.

Books: Right now no books comes directly in my mind, despite the Harry Potter Series, eventually I will add some more if they come to mind. “fall of giants” from Ken Follet was also a good read.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've had great experiences so far, especially on travels.

I loved it when I visited New York, because the city is so fascinating.
While visiting Indonesia, it was great to see the people live there and explore the nature. (even though it was disturbing how much garbage gets washed up on the beaches)

I've visited Hawaii a few times, I was amazed by Maui and Oahu and the nature of Big Island.

A year ago I've visited Budapest with a few friends, which was also a great experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, despite German, I can't think of much I can really teach.

I can teach you some chess, if you are interested. I’m not that good, but it’s fun. Or if you already can play I would love to play some games.
And I can teach you about the history of my hometown, if you are interested and give you advice if you ever plan on visiting.
But im eager to learn and experience new things, hear stories or anything interesting you got to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m sorry I can’t take any guests in, I don’t have my own place and still live at home, so I can’t offer a place right now.
As soon as I move out I can host people, which will be shortly after I come back from my travels.
