About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To collect data on this planets geo-, hydro-, atmo- and ecoshperes, including in depth study of any and all potentially sentient species, and return that inforation to my homeworld. Whenever I find it...

ABOUT ME

I'm a nerd. Okay, maybe more of a geek. By trade, I'm an environmental educator, which means that my job is to get kids outside, teach them why the earth is cool, why they should give a crap about it, and how to take care of it.

PHILOSOPHY

Uh, be excellent to each other?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am living a relatively itinerant lifestyle, and as such am relying on the wheel of karma to turn in my favor. As soon as I am in a position to host couchsurfers, I plan on reciprocating, from whatever spot on earth I happen to end up in.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

While living on the Olympic Peninsula, I had friends who hosted several couch surfers in their house on Lake Crescent, and all my experiences with them were overwhelmingly positive. Also, my sister couchsurfed last summer in Victoria BC, and loved it. My first couchsurfing experience was with my sister last fall in Chattanooga, TN, under trying conditions, and our hosts couldn't have been more gracious. I'm sold.

Teach, Learn, Share

It turns out, as the process of planning this trip unfolded, we found ourselves tracing some of the most interesting events in the geologic history of North America. Wanna know why someone would drive 200 miles out of their way to see a bunch of rocks? Good question.
