Overview
About Me
Itinerant vagabond programmer, sometimes venturing out for adventure...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people, and getting out and exploring the world. Don't spend enough time doing it.
And right now I feel like I've been holed up by myself writing code for far too long, I think it's time to get out and relearn how to be social... Please excuse awkward robot noises.
Interests
Cooking! I'm a fairly decent chef, and I love to cook for people.
Beer. Mmm, beer.
Hiking. Canoe trips. Trying to get outside more...
Museums. Dinosaurs!
Books. Too many book to cart around, alas... if you haven't read the Silmarillion don't ask me about it unless you want me to talk for 20 minutes.
Music, Movies, and Books
Silmarillion, anything by Vonnegut, Philip K. Dick, Ian M. Banks... I read a lot of science fiction. It's not hard to get me to nerd out about books in person.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the moon come up over the mountains at a music festival in Idaho
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to teach. I'll show you how to make omelettes or carnitas. I love to cook for people.
The best thing to share is good conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I cook! Especially omelettes. Mmm, omelettes.
Sometimes, I fix things. I like to find random odd jobs to do.
I think the best thing about meeting new people is just the conversations, though.
