About Me
I currently run two companies.
The first is a matching platform that connects people who want to lease commercial properties with those looking to rent them. I started this business to disrupt the outdated and rigid practices in Japan’s commercial property market, creating a more efficient and accessible system.
The second focuses on transforming the way we live. I produce and manage unique concept-based share houses and operate a platform for attracting like-minded residents. These aren’t just affordable living spaces—they are communities where people come together around shared values and lifestyles. For example, I’ve created share houses where engineers can collaborate and learn from each other, where English speakers and Japanese speakers can live together and immerse themselves in language and cultural exchange, and even homes designed specifically for single mothers. One of my key projects, "LOCALIFE," combines the words "Local" and "Life" to represent a space where people can experience and connect with different local lifestyles. This share house also leverages Couchsurfing to host travelers from around the world, fostering cross-cultural connections and unforgettable experiences.
Inspired by LOCALIFE, I’m excited to welcome guests into my home to continue promoting cultural exchange. This idea has become even more personal to me since having a child, as I want to create an environment where my three-year-old can naturally interact with people from different cultures, fostering a space where diversity is part of everyday life. While my home is not a share house, it is a warm and welcoming space where I live with my wife, our three-year-old child, and a friendly dog. If you enjoy cooking, good conversations, children, or dogs, you’ll feel right at home here. I have a passion for learning about different cultures and exploring what I don’t yet know about the world. During university, I studied abroad in Seattle for a year, which deepened my curiosity about cultural exchange. Through the share houses I manage, I’ve connected with residents from all over the world, forming lifelong friendships and building vibrant communities. I look forward to meeting travelers who share a love for learning and connecting across cultures, and I’m excited to create unforgettable experiences together.
