About Me

to boldly go where no man has gone before

---------3rd attempt, July 23rd, 2012
I work in a private company dealing with Japanese grant aid projects. It procures medical equipment and such, then delivers to developing countries as donations. For the implementation phase, in some cases, I get to stay and coordinate in the recipient country.

I am rather optimistic and that tends to make me choose/ decide what other people might not do. Often times, by those decisions I define/ identify myself. I have read a few books in my childhood and understood very little, though I like all the difficult ideas. I guess I am still struggling with such ideas even now. I believe it's better to continue reading nonetheless than to stop doing it, even if it does not show much progress at the moment, of course while always seeking for improvement.

"I know that I know nothing."
"Treat the earth well. It was not given to you by your parents. It was loaned to you by your children."

This world is full of wonder. Nature is beyond human intelligence. Human being is somewhat too trivial to fully understand the nature. But as myself and everyone are forms of the nature, I feel happy when I find we all are same humankind. Well, I don't mean to sound like religious though, cause I am not lol By the way, Sherlock Holmes and Socrates had influenced me, I think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

---------3rd attempt, July 23rd, 2012
Finally I used couchsurfing as a surfer looking for a host. The very first experience of doing so was, as was already expected, such an enriching one. Through this system, I could meet a person who is knowledgable in what interested me and could advise. At the same time, we could share a pleasant moment by spending good time in a remote island during our camping out.

Not much update here. I often met people outside the CS and found them afterwards. I came across friends of my friends. Often they were sporadic encounters, which I suppose is one good way of participating in CS.

I wish to enable many people to stay in Japan where everything is expensive but unique in many ways. At the same time I hope to learn from people with different ideas and share them with others.

Suddenly decided to host a friend of mine. Found it out to be very exciting experience to encounter people who have different experiences and thoughts.

Somehow working in Japan is not regarded as a life style with lots of private time. I generally agree with it and am wanting to make it better by trying new things. Books always interest me but also movies, outdoor activities are gaining more weight among my personal life these days.

Just want to say that I am now reading 1984 written by Orwell. Very insightful I find it and the world is partly becoming as depicted in it. Simply scary and at the same time exciting to know how human world is predictable for some of the great minds :D

So I already mentioned the 1984 above. Though it's not very characteristic nor very particular to me, I'd mention that the drama "Friends" is one of my favourites, as many of you might share the same preference.

---------1st attempt
The Police, The Beatles. Sherlock Holmes, Old Goriot. Star Wars, Good Will Hunting.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

---------2nd attempt, revised in August 1st, 2011
I am quite aware that this is too cheap and ordinary, but the view from sacre-coeur-montmartre was awesome, especially when I ponder the story during the retreat of German army without destroying the city against the order.(Is this a true story?)

---------1st attempt
Thunderstorm on the top of Half Dome and sunset from glacier point in Yosemite. Realising foresights to come true, unaware paths to lead me to a wonderful future.
