ABOUT ME

Jonny and I met at Occupy Fresno. After traveling to New York City and participating in Occupy Wall Street, we moved to Oregon and started our own Apparel business, AnthroWear Feral Apparel. I (Kent) have traveled to a few countries and volunteered on organic farms through WWOOF in Iceland, Poland, and Ireland. We both love traveling, meeting new people, and experiencing new things.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we have fundamental freedoms and liberties attached to ourselves that should never be violated by another human being. I like to think that the meaning of life is simply to HAVE personal goals and to always be striving for them. Goals that fit your own perspective and have meaning and value to you. I don't think the attainment of goals is important at all, just simply the strive for them. When you satisfy a goal, you simply make a new one, take the next step. Life is a journey, not a destination. Written works deteriorate away, cities fall, castles crumble but the ideas and efforts behind the building of those things will never die.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Reykjavik, Iceland and met with couchsurfers in Selfoss, Iceland. Both experiences were absolutely wonderful and I will definately continue working with the CouchSurfing project in the future. Recently I have couchsurfed with two different hosts in New York City.

Interests

Classic/Progressive Rock (Queen, Supertramp, Yes, The Who, Pink Floyd, BOC), Sigur Ros, Traveling, Learning new languages, New cultures, Social justice.

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes are far and wide. I love horror movies and raunchy comedies. I also love big, blockbuster, special-effect movies.

AS for music, I love Classic/Progressive Rock and some 80's stuff too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent three months in Europe couchsurfing and volunteering on organic farms in Iceland, Poland, and Ireland.

I was a part of the Occupy Movement starting in Fresno, moving on to San Francisco, and eventually Occupy Wall Street in New York City. I slept in Zuccotti Park from November 1st, 2011 until it was raided.
