Overview
About Me
Hi! We are Kenton (Hong Kong) and João (Portugal). We are now living in Madrid and would love to continue meeting amazing people, both surfing and hosting! Also we regularly write to travellers and meet up with them! Happy to share tips and favourite places to visit. 😃
** We believe Couchsurfing is a platform for cultural exchange, genuine connection, inclusion with mutual respect. If we share the same values, we invite you to read through "Our Home" section before requesting a stay. Otherwise we are sorry but to decline the request. Thank you and have a good stay in Madrid. **
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To travel like a local.
To meet amazing people.
To be more than just a tourist.
We are grateful to meet fellow kind-hearted CSers whom shared the great passion in travelling around the world. We'd love to meet up with travellers in HK, sharing information like where to find local delicacies, best hiking trails etc., and in Madrid discovering the city together, as a way to give back to the CS community.

Teach, Learn, Share
We love languages.
- Kenton is currently picking up Japanese and Spanish. If you happen to be learning Cantonese, Mandarin or English, feel free to hit me up and I'd love to have you as a language partner.
- João is currently polishing his Spanish and would love to further learn more Cantonese and somehow not lose his Darija.
We are foodies!
- Kenton loves to cook, experiment with taste. I'd love to share with you my family recipe to make the best Shanghaiese wontons! (dumplings)
- João loves to eat, especially over a nice wine and a good conversation. And I like to cook as well! I love trying to recreate at home the dishes that I enjoyed while traveling. Brings back memories and it's a great way to tell stories.
We are proud and out. Being a part of the LGBT community made us a better person and introduce us to a warm, welcoming family. We hope Couchsurfing allows us to meet fellow LGBT allies which we can share our stories and together create a future with acceptances.
