About Me

MacKenzie & Sean Krumhauer ; We met 2 years ago when MacKenzie needed help building a hoop house on her newly leased 2 acres. It was an immediate connection and eventually Sean quit his job to work full time on their two acre flower farm and florist business. In January 2018 a fire swept through the Ojai Valley and claimed the farm prompting the two newlyweds to look for a more affordable location (and easier ecosystem!) to start over, even though they had both grown up in SoCal. Now they are building a farm and renovating a 1910 farmhouse on 20 acres in the PNW.

SEAN; grew up in LBC and went to CSLB for business/finance. After the crash he went on to get his captain license and spent many years working and sailing boats and yachts. He has been to over 30 countries and spent a couple years in Germany (berlin) where he attended language school with his dog, Debo.

MACKENZIE; grew up in Ojai. Traveled all over the US and Canada and some overseas. Started farming in 2013 in San Francisco area and quickly fell in love with the pace of life. Returned home to ojai to start her own farm and eventually ended up growing flowers and starting a successful wedding & event floral design business.

THE HOUSE; Our property is located approx 45minutes north of PDX and 35min north of Vancouver, WA. 3 hours South of Seattle. The closest highway to our house is highway 5. We have 2 spare bedrooms with Full beds available for guests and a guest bathroom with shower and tub. Our house is easy access to roads and sits just 5 minutes away from the beautiful East Lewis River where there is plenty of swimming in the hot months, hiking, fishing, and extreme kayaking! This area is absolutely stunning and we are very accessible to some great camping, hiking, and outdoor activities as well as proximity to the cities. We have 8 sheep on property and a small dog and are currently in the process of building some "glamp" sites and eventually a farmstand.
Nearby(<2hrs); Chelatchie prairie, Lake Merwin, Mt. St. Helens, hood river, gifford pinchot national forest, ape caves

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One of our favorite memories in scuba diving in Indonesia at KM 0! We saw one of the biggest cuttlefish you could ever imagine as well as some amazing coral reefs, lion fish, scorpion fish, rays, and nudibranchs!

Teach, Learn, Share

TEACH;
we are very handy! Sean is a great mechanic, great with finances, and great with fixing things or creating things with tools. If you've ever wanted to learn how to build he can teach! MacKenzie is great with cooking and baking, can do some basic sewing and intermediate leatherwork and is happy to teach! We are both business savvy and are always happy to help people be inspired to create their own future and business
