Completing my master thesis and finding an opportun phd for my further researches.

ABOUT ME

It's hard to write about yourself but I can explain it with my occupations. I'm a full time researcher (I'm currently making my research about underground and alternative music scenes in Turkey), part time translator (I translated 3 graphic novel/comic book from French to Turkish and also worked as fixer several times with international media in Turkey), part time radio host (I founded a pirate radio - yes it's a secret!, where I broadcast live every Tuesday). I also worked as editor in a history magazine for two years before I decided to focus on academia. In sum you can presume that music is the most important and valuable passion in my life.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I knew couch surfing since very long time. I hosted some good people around the world in our family house in Istanbul but after moving in France, I lived in small places that weren't opportune to host in comfort my future fellas from CS.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted some good people within CS and beside CS. In Istanbul, my family house was a kind of hub for my international friends and also for their friends who where passing by. But I've never been hosted in somewhere.

Interesses

In my life I interested in a lot of things like contemporary dancing, playing in a band, taking photos, going in very different kind of festivals, art, history, philosophy...

Now I'm more focused on radio and on my researches about music and politics.

I love to take place in festivals and concerts. I try to not miss any concert or festival that I enjoy or I might enjoy.

Some of writers that I like; Jostein Gaarder, Orwell, Dostoevsky, Ray Bradbury, Orhan Pamuk, Camus, Ionesco. I'm an also enthusiast of Sci-fi and utopia/disutopias. I love reading Ursula Le Guinn, Alfred Bester, Philipp K. Dick. Beside translating them, I'm also a fan of graphic novels/comic books

Movies : Gaspar Noé, Coen Brothers, STAR WARS (before Disney of course..)
