Overview
About Me
Hi! My name is Keri, and my husband's name is Noah. We are travel lovers who often find ourselves taking long trips and crossing lots of state borders in our little Ford Focus.
I'm Keri! I'm normally the one who sends requests and such on here, and I am so excited to meet you! The first thing you should know is that I am a very laid back hippie. I am super passionate about the environment, politics, empathy, sustainability, and philosophy. I love getting into long debates, get my news from Youtube, and adore the outdoors. I prefer to be in the trees, or in the desert, or really anywhere but a room that is dark with no windows. I'm trying to learn Spanish, want to go rock climbing, and am super pumped to exapnd our travel to international waters. But for the time being, I'm really busy working as a model and planning our wedding! July 1st!!!! I'm also a vegan, and have been one for almost three years now. I am not preachy and you are welcome to eat a steak in front of me. I go to lots of cool little restaurants (vegan and just veg friendly), tend to find the most awesome places to eat while traveling, and just found my second love of Ben and Jerry's new coffee ice cream.

Noah is 19. He is a freelance video game designer, working on multiple projects including one of his own design. He is very into learning about ancient cultures and religions, and I love listening to his sound bites on it. He is super dedicated to work, but loves to go on adventures. He also really loves food, especially Middleswarth potato chips, and as an addiction to Arizona green tea. He is a total workaholic, but his passion and drive is part of what makes him so awesome. When he is into and commited to a project, nothing stops him from completing it. He is an awesome navigator (even if we do get lost... a lot) and although quiet, is seriously introspective. He also is a big fan of getting into long winded debates, and backs up his ideas with more factual information than my brain can hold. His favorite video game is Legend of Zelda, but he is also a huge fan of Assassins Creed, Halo, and Gears of War.

As a couple, we have been together for three years, but have known each other for eight. We went to school together, and met through Drama Club. We can often be found chilling out to Netflix, getting lost in our travels, or eating at some awesome new restaurant we found half an hour before. We are trying to get to all 48 continental states this year, and we are really covering some ground! We're hoping to move to AZ in the fall. I may be about the only thing to make him smile, and he is always one upping me on facts during our debates. I bring the philosophical/psychological perspective and he brings the scientific. For all of our similarities, we are actually quite diverse inside of our niches. It balances us out, simultaneously stopping me from living in a tree and him from living in a big city/small apartment all by himself. We are also very competitive with each other, and love to play games. And often keep score. But only on things like mini golf!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on Couchsurfing because my husband (the cute guy in the photos) and I are avid travelers who end up taking trips a lot for my work. This also gives us the chance to explore cities and areas, and we love traveling anyways!

We are SO GRATEFUL to the people we stayed with along our cross country trip. It wouldn't have been possible without this amazing community, and we are so happy for the experience and for the generosity of all our hosts. Joining couchsurfing is definitely one of the best decisions we ever made.

My favorite band is Coldplay. I also like country music, pop music, R&B, acoustic, and alternative rock. When it comes to music, I'm really not hard to please. My favorite movie is Ted, and I enjoy a really well done scary movie sometimes too. My favorite book is Tuesdays with Morrie. I also enjoy Eating Animals, the Harry Potter Series, The China Study, and honestly romance novels.
His favorite band is Balthazar. He also likes alternative rock and pop. His favorite movie is Lord of the Rings-Fellowship of the Ring. His favorite book is The Divine Comedy. He also enjoys ancient texts and Game of Thrones.
We both really enjoy the Quentin Tarantino movies, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, the Christopher Nolan Batman Movies, Star Wars, Shutter Island, and The Shawshank Redemption. Our favorite TV shows are Doctor Who, How I Met Your Mother, Friends, Grounded For Life, Family Guy, and Seinfeld.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We both picked up and moved to Austin, TX in two weeks. We had never seen Austin before we moved there, and we didn't know anyone.
We just drove through Death Valley. Awesome views, definitely recommend it to anyone.
NOLA on Fat Tuesday in the French Quarter was a pretty sweet experience.
Seeing it snow in some of the southern most desert in the USA.
Driving from Jacksonville, FL home in one day (16 hours of driving) to beat a snowstorm. It should be noted that I am the only driver in our little family and we did beat it.

Teach, Learn, Share
We are really interested in learning about the cities we visit. It's why we've chosen couchsurfing as our means of accommodations. We're excited to meet people from all over the country and to find out the daily aspects of their lives. We are looking for a new place to live, so the more local of an experience we get, the better! Any travel tips you have are always greatly appreciated. Mostly, we just like meeting people so we can see how they live and the way they think. It's so eye opening, and it makes you such a better person to get to meet people who are essentially strangers and to spend time with them in a meaningful way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my awesome cooking abilities. He is like a walking science encyclopedia, so any crazy questions you have, just ask! We love to have discussions and debates, but also enjoy just chilling out and watching movies. We always keep our stuff in a small space, do our best to accommodate time schedules, have no problems leaving early in the morning, and don't leave a mess anywhere. Although you may get a shampoo donation from me. I left my shampoo bottle at two different places along our cross country trip.
We've driven in the Southeast quite a bit now, so if you need any advice on that, hit us up!
