About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore outside of my comfort zone, take chances and live!

ABOUT ME

I am a single, responsible, adult from Seattle. I own my own home and love to learn how to fix things for myself. I love to help others especially if they are not expecting it. My family is the most important thing in my life. I live for hugs from my niece and nephew. I am usually pretty shy when I first meet people and in large groups. However, once I get to know people watch out!

PHILOSOPHY

I live to help my friends and family. I try to be someone who people are proud to know.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am hoping to meet new friends throughout Europe. Also, as soon as I come home I will be moving back into my house in Seattle. I am looking forward to opening my home to other couchsurfers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to "couchsurfing" and I have not had any experiences yet. However, my family hosted a friend of a friend from Barcelona 2 times for the summer. I was young and loved to show someone my life and surroundings. In fact I am counting down the days until I visit her and her son. Other than that I have been couchsurfing at my mother's house to be able to travel for 7 months. I also work for her. I am 33 and I work for and live with my mother. In other words I am either insane or very patient--probably a little of both!

Interests

Travel, triathlons, SCUBA, snow skiing, jet skiing, photography, go to the theater, and I have to admit I am a reality show junkie!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in the Dominican Republic as a foreign exchange student. That year changed my life. I learned to appreciate everything I have and how much I can live without. I experienced life as a minority. I hope I changed people's minds about Americans.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that this world is a very small place. We need to learn about eachother and apreciate different cultures. More important we need to learn how similar we are.

Countries I’ve Visited

Jamaica, Mexico, Puerto Rico

Countries I’ve Lived In

Dominican Republic, United States
