About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To be the granny with the best ridiculous stories
ABOUT ME
I try to make the most of life, by taking opportunities to do big things when they come along while still appreciating the little things along the way. I'll try anything once, always up for a bit of an adventure. In saying that I can also be incredibly lazy and equally enjoy doing nothing in couch forts. I love meeting new people, I'll admit I struggle a bit with understanding foreign accents but I really do love to try. Outgoing and easygoing, it takes alot for me to dislike someone. Caught the travel bug a few years back and now spend every cent I make on visiting somewhere new. I'm currently living in Adelaide with my boyfriend Tony, who I met and imported back from Canada.
PHILOSOPHY
Try to take any opportunity that comes along... life experiences are worth more than anything else. Even if it turns out to be a bad decision, it will at least make a good story. Find the good side of any situation, no matter how abstract I need to be to do so.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Couchsurfed with a few fantastic people while travelling through Europe early 2009, it was great experience and loved the idea, so continued to do so though Canada and America, with equally fantastic results. Then spent about four years returning the favour by hosting in our apartment in Brisbane, and am continuing to do so in Adelaide.

Interests
Depends on the day... I'll give anything a go, and often go through phases. Im a sucker for animals, hence the university degree, love to hike and explore, obsessed with food all of weird sorts, surf when I can (not very well), horse ride every now and then, party, run, eat, read, sleep alot, have philosophical arguments about stupid things.

Music, Movies, and Books
When I was about 7 I promised the Lion King that it would always be my favourite movie. Gladiator was the first movie to make me cry, I am an absoulte wuss when it comes to horror films, anything else I'm keen to give a look, especially if there's popcorn or choccies.
Any music is good music, although not a fan of heavy metal. I like a good variety though. I like to read, but for some reason don't do so very often. I need someone to put the book in my hand, any suggestions welcome.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungy jumped in thailand, which is massive for me cos I'm quite a wuss. Accidently swam with a school of sharks. Went with a friend who won a trip to Jamaica with a second chance draw on a Mars Bar wrapper. Had a self discovering moment watching a perfect sunrise over the mountains of Switzerland. Obtained some cool scars working with Birds of Prey in Canada. Road tripped around North America in a beloved beat up car named Randy. Backpacked around South America for longer than I originally intended, needed rabies shots for a dog bite, swam with wild turtles, sea lions and iguanas in the Galapagos.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can memorise most things if I apply a tune to it... helps me in exams. I therefore sing alot even though I'm quite terrible at it. I can get philosophical and think too logically about the world, particularly when drunk. I always try to see the bright side of people and situations.
