About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello! I haven't been everywhere- but it's on the list. I'm just home from Malaysia where I taught English. I love adventure and new friends. I've been known to sing all the time and I just started learning guitar! Old soul- think letter writing and making scrapbooks. I'm starting grad school for Clinical Psych in two weeks and I can't wait! Currently stockpiling flashcards.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mostly to meet people, to find new friends to host and new places to visit!

Interests

I'm into learning new languages, taking way too many photos, and Greek mythology. I spend most of my time with little kids- today in my kindergarten class we sang "Another One Bites the Dust" and then they fed me cake, the life of an teacher is a charmed one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books are my favorite forever. Last night I finished A Visit From The Goon Squad, which was a delight. But one i loved even more was called The Story of Forgetting; its one of those books you feel so personally about you almost don't want to share it with others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

While I was living in Italy, I was in Florence for White Night, this amazing celebration. A party in every piazza, and then at midnight, they release thousands of white lanterns that float into the sky.
I made it to Kapas Island here in Malaysia, and found a library hidden inside a beach chalet with a full Neil Gaimon collection, so that was bliss.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to tie a bowline knot from my sailing days or how to cheat an F chord. I can teach you a little Bahasa Malaysia if you don't mind the missing verbs.

What I Can Share with Hosts

You mean my sparkling wit? I suppose a meal, a beer, or a long conversation are on the table. The best thing I have to offer is how well I listen.

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Laos, Luxembourg

Countries I’ve Lived In
