Interests

I love living an active lifestyle. I like to ski and mountain bike. Whitewater kayaker. Like to bike tour to get out on the road and think and see places at a slower place. I love to travel--been and lived many places--and I love exploring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Cambodia was one of my favorite places to visit (back in 2004/5) because of the people. Their history and what they have been through is mind boggling, yet they were the most kind and easy-going of the asian countries I visited for 3 months.

Loved going to Tonga and Samoa, childhood wishlist destinations that were discovered in the library of a Nat. Geographic magazine just after I had my first tropical vacation to Hawaii (what else is out there). I went there in 2007 while I lived in New Zealand.

Bike touring is fantastic--allows you to take the time to see places and meet people. Great that people are so impressed (usually) and strike up conversations. I have done that in the San Juan Islands of Washington, Jasper-Lake Louise and sw Montana. Nothing like working your body with having a mental journey on the way.
