CURRENT MISSION

I am a small town girl that wants to keep meeting and connecting with the big bad world!

As an island girl born and brought up on the Shetland Islands I love the way the elements shapes the land so noticeably, carving the rugged coastline ... probably why I have such a wild heart and I am so fortunate to have had a chance to explore so much untouched raw beauty.

I am away in what I now think of as my second home - Canada on a working holiday and everyday I wear a silver necklace of my islands round my neck that my best girlfriends from home gave me before i set off on this journey west. Yes sometimes I do kiss it for luck!

A favourite saying of mine:
"Dear to the sea bird is its rocky ledge, dear to the isle man is the worlds edge " - Vagaland.

I feel it applies to me as an Isle girl too. The sea has my heart ... and the thought of what lies beyond :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have primarily hosted people. Had a great surf experience with a Hawaiian girl living in Seattle, where I got to try on all her graduation lei's ... never had so many flowers around my neck before!!

As well as with a wonderful radiant true hippy on Salt spring Island - Sally sunshine

Interests

Dancing, mountaineering/hill walking, skiing, biking, music, films, exploring, new places and faces, human psychology, yoga, being active, outdoors, nature, animals, children, poetry.

I have discovered that primarily I like to be 'On the Go' so for any work that I do in the future this will be a key requirement.

I very much enjoy films ... although I still have so many to see!
The IMDB top 100 movies list is one I have yet to conquer.

500 days of summer is a favourite of mine, films withs good soundtracks really help! Rather sick of American blockbuster movies e.g. gangster squad ... Nooo.

Music can be electro swing, folk, EDM, reggae, ska ....on and on ... if it has a beat for dancing all the better!
