I am a musician and a student of violin making from Minnesota. I love music, art, literature, good food, outdoor adventures, and meeting new people. I also love traveling and I am continually exploring new parts of the world, learning more about the cultures and landscapes as I go.

I travel often and love to meet new people and make new friends, and especially to meet locals in new places. So I am on couchsurfing to make friends and connections, and to find places to stay in the far flung parts of the world that I find myself in.

I love music most of all, especially acoustic and traditional music, and I'm always wanting to learn about the music of the places that I visit. But I have a broad pallet of other interests, such as local history, violin making and other hand crafts, languages and cultures, botany and biology, etc.

Music: I play mostly old time and country music, but I am very musically eclectic, and I love R&B, Soul, Doo Wop, Hip-hop, string band music, blues, some jazz and classical, and a broad variety of other types.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

I spent two months in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, apprenticing under a master violin maker there. It is still one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen.

I can teach some things about woodworking, carpentry, hand crafts, music and music theory, history, etc. Also very happy to help anyone who is learning English! I love to learn new things and share skills, and have lots to offer..

Conversation, help washing the dishes, preparation of meals, household tasks, little fix-it projects, etc. Fiddle tunes or any advice, knowledge, or expertise that I may have as well, if you should find it to be useful.
