Hello everyone, my name is Kervin Veerapen. I'm am 19 years old and I come from Mauritius. In moment, I am studying German at the ISL Sprachule in Koblenz, so that I can attend a German University in order to study Renewable Energy engineering. I am actually living in Koblenz, in an apartment which I am sharing with 5 other amazing German University students . This gives me the opportunity to practice and hence improve my German speaking skills.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Until now, most of the traveling I have done were with my parents, but now here am I, living in Germany all by myself. Couchsurfing will definitely give me the opportunity to become more independent and allow me by the same to time pursue the things I love : adventure and FOOD without having to spend a lot of money and while making friends all around the world.

Interests

I am what usually people call a 'foodie',i.e. most of my interests are linked to food. I spend a lot of time cooking for my friends and family , watching culinary shows and I love going to the market , which is a for me a great place of inspiration and interaction. I also like to travel to experience the local food and cooking techniques and explore the local cultures. I'm also very active , I play football regularly and I also like to go for runs and hikes in nature, especially in the morning.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I can definitely share with you some of my craziest and most hilarious jokes and stories. We can also cook some pretty good food together. I can teach you how to make the fluffiest pancakes, the spiciest red Thai prawn curry or the crispiest roast chicken. And of course, I can also teach you some Mauritian Creole.
Yet, I'm also looking forward to hearing about your traveling stories and learning lots of things from you.
