Back in the day, I used to share this account with two College friends, Olivia and Camille, hence the reviews. I've sort of highjacked the account and been using it for my personal traveling :-)

[2019- 2020] : I'm currently a Fulbright visiting research student at the Cleveland State University, hoping to finish up my PhD in US history. My official home is in Ivry, right outside of Paris, where I'll be back in July 2020.

I'll be traveling across the country in late February/early March 2020 with two of my favorite people in Cleveland, Zack and Amanda, both born and raised in Cleveland.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The three of us CSed a lot together and loved it. Camille and Olivia, when living together in Avignon, also opened their doors to some couchsurfers.

Our CS experiences include a crazy month of traveling throughout the US during the summer 2009 -- we surfed in Hawaii, visited Los Angeles, San Diego, Flagstaff, Las Vegas... And met a bunch of wonderful people, both American and international. We also spent a few days in Dublin in 2010. I couchsurfed on my own or with new friends on the East Coast (2010-2011) and in Detroit (2012), and then more recently in Denver (2018). Always such a blast, and certainly the best way to discover an area and create wonderful connections.

I've never hosted any CS formally, but the doors of my home in Ivry have always been opened to all kinds of people, from long-time friends to random acquaintances from all over the world, to friends of friends who needed a place to crash in the Paris area. So who knows, we might see each other again in Ivry?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching lava flowing into the Pacific Ocean, in the middle of the night, in Big Island, Hawaii, was pretty darn amazing.
