Hi!

My name is Kevin, I'm 27/m and a college graduate with a degree in business management. I have lived my whole life in New England and am ready to try something new, and Colorado is where it's at! I plan on launching my own dog walking business in the Boulder or Fort Collins area and becoming a Coloradoan.
I am neat, polite, and easy going. I am happy to help with anything around the house, and if you need a dog walker, I'm your man!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As I transition to Colorado I have lined up some places to stay on Airbnb beginning in late July, but I am eager to get out there! My business is ready to go, I have worked for two local companies to learn the industry and built my website along with compiling my marketing materials. I am dying to get out to Colorado. My savings won't allow me to book an Airbnb room sooner, so a friend suggested this site.

Interests

I am an active and outdoorsy person, hence my desire to get to Colorado ;) I love animals and want to get a dog as soon as I have my own place that allows it (I've already picked out a name - Wolf Blitzer, lol). I am a movie buff and love to cook as well (my homemade pizza from scratch is my specialty!) I also love to go to garage sales and thrift stores on the weekends...weird right? I'm an entrepreneur at heart and you never know when you'll find that gem to sell on ebay!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: The Big Lebowski is def my favorite. I find the film to actually be very therapeutic, and think we could all learn a lesson from the Dude. American Movie is my second favorite. I'm a big fan of HBO programming, I think Silicon Valley is the funniest show on TV right now. If you're a binge watcher, we should start there, haha.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think planning to move across the country solo and start my own business is actually the most amazing thing I've done so far in my life! I'm pumped!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have run an ebay business on the side selling vintage, antique, and collectible items. If you're up for it, I'm happy to show you what and where to look for items you can sell yourself at a nice profit. It's a fun and rewarding hobby, and you never know what you're going to find out there!

I've also lifted weights since high school. I will be bringing my kettlebell and some other weights, I'm happy to show you a basic routine if that's something you would be interested in. I find it to be good for the both the mind and body.

I like to cook. I would love to make a couple pizzas and show you the process. My pizza stone is a purchase I have gotten a lot of use out of! When I discovered I could make a delivery style pizza for about $2.50 in my house I certainly gained a few pounds, haha.

I also have a Netflix and HboGo account I am happy to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am happy to help out with chores around the house/yard. I grew up in a bustling house of three siblings and have worked landscaping and construction, so I am no stranger to chores and yard work.

I can share some good movies and supply the pizza and beer (or wine if you prefer).

I've been in the pet care business for a little while now, if you have a pet I am happy to look after him or her and do regular walks as a token of my appreciation. I will share my website if you are interested and you can check it out for yourself.
