I'm an EFL teacher and have taught many different nationalities in Australia and overseas. I've always been interested in travelling and learning about other cultures. At the moment, my wife and I are working and travelling on different continents, trying to experience as many different places as possible. Soonhee, my wife, is an artist from Korea , where we first met 20 years ago. We're interested in exploring nature, historical sites and learning about traditions wherever we visit.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing offers the opportunity to meet 'locals' and experience the culture first-hand, to learn from each other. We want to experience places and things that you can only find from someone that lives in that place. It also allows us to do the same by offering guests to Australia the same thing, when we return from our current years of exploration.

Movies that make you think, but a great comedy is always welcome.
Normally books from different cultures translated into English, something you can learn from. A good sci-fi read is always interesting. Often it can depend on your mood.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Many amazing experiences have been had travelling. Living in India for a year was very special, six months of this time in Assam where I only saw a few other foreigners.
When I was in my late teens, I used to hitch-hike to different places in Australia. I crossed the country from Sydney to Perth and back by hitch-hiking.
Soonhee saved someone's life by providing help to someone who was allergic to bee stings and was suffering anaphylaxis shock.
