Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Reorganizing my life in Busan.
ABOUT ME
I originally made this profile to meet people for a trip I made to Japan (I went to visit some friends at their home in Sendai and I slowly made my way down to Fukuoka so I could go home to Busan). I had a great time so I'm keeping this account open for future trips and for things going on in Busan.
PHILOSOPHY
No particular one. I am learning to take things as they come now, as far as recognizing an opportunity when it appears. Is that a philosophy? My view of life changes nearly from day to day so what I would write now would probably be different within a week.
Also, as far as I know, what I think now and what I do is just neurons misfiring in my brain.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
When I first made this I had a one room apartment near one of the beaches in Busan, the one with the famous bridge (Gwangan - 광안리). Since then I've recently switched to teaching adults and I now live in an industrial area. It's near Daegu but I don't think it's good for travelers.
I can also participate by being an easygoing guest. If you only have time to let me in and sleep then that's fine. If you have extra time for conversation or to get some food that's even better but I know everyone has things to do from day to day. I'd prefer the second option because my goal is to meet local people.
When I move again I hope to be in a better place to host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I visited my old middle school and high school friends in Sendai (two brothers, Sendai is their home town) and then worked my way back to Fukuoka on a JR pass. I stopped in Osaka, Hiroshima and then back Fukuoka to take a boat back to Busan. In each city I met a Couchsurfing host (couchsurfing? couch surfing? Do I capitalize?) and I had a blast. My hosts were all great and I got the local experience in each city.
Interests
I am interested in food, traveling (should be apparent since I am signing here), photography, drawing, timed night photography, movies, talking about movies, and talking about anecdotes and personal experiences. I like music too.

Music, Movies, and Books
No specific genre. Again, this always changes so it's kind of moot. I like a wide range of movies and music and books.
EDIT for movies: Meatballs III (the greatest story ever told) and Frankenhooker (seriously). I just remembered that I love those movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
...making it to a new day.
Teach, Learn, Share
Photography maybe? I also know a lot about movies... but that could be limited to certain regions (this being an international site so maybe I don't know much about the movies in your specific country).
Countries I’ve Visited
Canada, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
South Korea, United States
