ABOUT ME

I was a pharmacist in the UK. It wasn't for me. I quit my job and scrambled what savings I had. Now I'm setting off to backpack Asia. Its been a thought niggling at the back of my mind like a little worm. I believe that most people are kind and good, despite what the media may think. Couchsurfing is the epitome of that.

Just don't challenge me to scrabble as I can get pretty competitive with that. If you've any card games or board games to share id like that. I like beer and sampling dangerously strong liquor. I'll try most things within reason.

I'm very laid back with my hosts and travel plans. I like to leave things open enough as to allow spontaneity but I respect all the rules set down. I am the guest in your home so I have to work around you. :D

Id really like to pick up some cookery skills from my host. If you like we can cook together and then I'll share some of the music I like with you.

I've hosted and surfed in the past. I took some couchsurfers around my beloved Donegal in the North of Ireland. I also hosted in Cornwall while I lived in England.

兴趣

I like nature and going for aimless walks through the countryside. Especially during early summer and Autumn.
I surf badly but my enthusiasm hopefully shines through. I have a weird thing about tea... I drink a bucket a day.

Movies:

Ferris Buellers day off, Studio Ghibli, The skin I live in, Pans Labyrinth, Cool Hand luke, Office Space and the lives of others would be a few of my favourite movies. I like foreign cinema so any recommendations are always welcomed :)

Music:

I like all genres of music but some of my favourites include Cash, Fleet foxes, Future islands, Stevie wonder, Bruce Springsteen, Depeche mode, The doors, The smiths, The Cure, Willy Mason, The knife. Irish tunes. I love funk and soul.

Books:

I like old science fiction like Jules Verne, Huxley and Vonnegut. Trying to make it more of a priority in life.

Road trip through Croatia with two couchsurfers, whom Id just met, to plitvice and Pula. Slightly exciting.

In cornwall during the summer I watched several kestrels hunting over a woodland... it was pretty breathtaking!

I can teach you how to make pancakes or juggle.

Id like to learn how to dance properly. Plenty of enthusiasm here so I'll need a good instructor.
